Senator Ellis offered the following Letter of Intent: Letter of Intent for CS for SB 100(FIN) It is the intent of the Legislature that the grant monies appropriated in Section 1 for the purpose of A.N.W.R. lobbying not be expended until matched on a 50/50 basis by Arctic Power, Inc. The Legislature further requires submission to and approval by the Legislative Council of a plan for the use of these public dollars as well as a final report to the Legislature stating the results of these expenditures. 1993-04-02 Senate Journal Page 1072 SB 100 Senator Ellis moved that the Letter of Intent be adopted. Senators Pearce and Kelly objected. Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that his motion be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Frank moved and asked unanimous consent that the Senate Finance Committee Letter of Intent offered on page 1001 be adopted. Senator Duncan objected, then withdrew his objection. There being no further objections, the Senate Letter of Intent was adopted. Senator Ellis moved that his Letter of Intent offered on page 1071 be adopted. Senator Pearce objected. Senator Taylor called the Senate. The call was satisfied. Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that his motion to adopt his Letter of Intent be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. The Legislature further requires submission to and approval by the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee of a plan for the use of these public dollars as well as a final report to the Legislature stating the results of these expenditures. YEAS: 8 NAYS: 12 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Adams, Duncan, Ellis, Kerttula, Lincoln, Little, Salo, Zharoff Nays: Donley, Frank, Halford, Jacko, Kelly, Leman, Miller, Pearce, Phillips, Rieger, Sharp, Taylor and so, the new Letter of Intent failed to be adopted.
